Geopost’s Seven Strong Signals at Leaders in Logistics – Last Mile 2025
Group News 9 October 2025
At the October 2025 edition of Leaders in Logistics in London, Geopost brought two powerful voices to the stage: Bastien Wilshaw, EVP Strategy & Out-of-Home, and Hervé Crochet, Group Head of Sales. Their combined insights painted a vivid picture of how e-commerce delivery is evolving and what it takes for your business to stay ahead.

Here are the seven key signals that emerged from their talks:
1. Convenience is King
E-shoppers today expect frictionless experiences at every step. From fast purchases without account creation to live chat support, the bar is higher than ever. GenZ is leading change charge, valuing digital wallets, flexible delivery options and effortless returns. Hervé emphasised that 19 criteria now shape the online buying journey where convenience isn’t optional; it’s expected.
2. OOH Delivery Goes Mainstream
Out-of-Home delivery has surged across Europe, with a 15-point rise since 2019. Bastien spotlighted locker adoption in markets like Croatia (+31 pts) and Spain (+21 pts), showing how consumer demand and not necessarily urban planning is driving the shift. With over 140,000 parcel shops and lockers across Europe1, our network at Geopost is built for scale and flexibility.
3. GenZ Sets the Pace
GenZ is rewriting the rules of e-commerce. They buy more frequently, expect freedom to pick up anytime & anywhere and are highly engaged with social platforms. Bastien’s keynote revealed GenZ prefers lockers and parcel shops over home delivery with a push for brands to offer personalised, mobile-first experiences.
4. Social Commerce Becomes Retail
Social media has grown beyond a place of discovery and is now a space for direct sales. Platforms like TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest are now conversion engines, with 41% of GenZ initiating purchases directly through them. Bastien called this the “retailification” of social media, urging carriers to adapt delivery strategies to match this new reality.
5. C2C is Reshaping Logistics
Consumer-to-Consumer marketplaces are booming, with 72% of e-shoppers buying or selling second-hand. Hervé noted that shoppers are turning into entrepreneurs, selling monthly, which requires reliable delivery networks conveniently close to home and work. Out-of-Home delivery is especially popular among C2C users, making shop2shop and cash-on-delivery essential features.

6. Returns Drive Loyalty
While a potential pain point, returns stand as a loyalty lever. Hervé highlighted that exceptional return experiences can build trust and repeat business. With parcel shop drop-offs gaining traction, carriers must ensure ease and transparency. After all, delivery is the final step that brings digital transactions to life.
7. Hybrid Networks Are the Future
The future won’t be home or Out-of-Home, it will be both. Bastien closed with a call to embrace hybrid delivery models, where consumers choose what works best for them. From cross-border shoppers to SMEs, flexibility is key. Geopost’s vast, owned infrastructure along with open and partner-driven networks is designed to meet these diverse needs, both today and tomorrow. Together, Bastien and Hervé showed how strategy and execution align to unlock the next level of e-commerce growth. From GenZ to C2C, lockers to loyalty, Geopost is shaping a delivery landscape that’s personal, flexible and ready for what’s next.
