DPD GERMANY'S HISTORY
DPD Deutscher Paketdienst was founded in 1976 by 18 leading German forwarding companies. In the founding year alone, over 1.4 million parcels were transported in Germany. In recent years, parcel volumes have risen to over two million parcels at times. Today DPD Germany transports around 370 million parcels per year. As a hub where parcels from different countries are sorted and handled, Germany is an important transit country in the EU.
