Privacy Policy

This privacy policy governs the access to and use of the “Heartbeat” application (hereinafter jointly referred to as “Hearbeat”). Hearbeat is managed by  Geopost SA, with registered office at 26 rue Guynemer - 92130 Issy-Les-Moulineaux (France).

Geopost and DPD are Joint data controllers of the personal data processed by Heartbeat as defined by the applicable regulations on personal data, in particular the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR).

 

Purposes of processing

The personal data are processed in the context of the services provided by Heartbeat on the basis of our legitimate interests to improve our delivery services and the consignee experience.

The data will be used by Geopost SA and DPD, for the following purposes:

  • Send notifications to consignee regarding their delivery

  • Calculate the carbon consumed during the delivery tour

  • Optimize drivers’ performance

 

Data processed

The personal data processed by Heartbeat for the purposes listed above are the following:

  • GPS position during delivery (15 seconds frequency)

  • MDU ID

The data collected by Heartbeat are kept 15 days and are deleted after the retention period has expired.

 

Data recipients

Your data is not shared with anyone outside of Geopost and DPD.

 

Transfer of data

Your data is stored inside the European Union and is not transferred outside of the European Union.

 

Your rights

In compliance with the applicable regulations, you have several rights on your data.

  • Access your personal data and to obtain confirmation as to whether your personal data are being processed;

  • Rectification of your personal data and to obtain without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data;

  • Erasure of your personal data without undue delay;

  • Object to the processing of your personal data;

  • Restriction of processing;

  • Data portability by transmission of your data where technically feasible.
