Geopost Vision has reached a new milestone in European street‑level imagery. In the latest update, CEO Martin Calmels and COO Elias Moussa explain how the platform now covers more than ten countries and provides millions of kilometres of fresh data to customers. As Martin notes, “Geopost Vision is already the largest street‑level imagery platform across Europe.”
The impact is clear. Thousands of delivery vehicles across the Geopost network capture imagery passively during normal operations. This gives clients access to updated views of roads, signs and infrastructure within 30 days. Traditional mapping companies can take up to three years to refresh their data. Road maintenance teams can now detect potholes and cracks quickly, and autonomous vehicle developers gain access to vast amounts of recent real‑world datasets covering varied road environments and conditions to train their models.
The scale of the fleet is a defining advantage. By equipping selected delivery vehicles across Europe, Geopost Vision captures imagery on every type of road from city centres to rural areas. This reach makes it possible to deliver consistent, GDPR‑compliant data through a single entry point for all countries.
Looking ahead, the team expects major progress by 2026. The platform will be live in more than 20 countries, with enhanced product capabilities and on‑edge processing. Mapping providers will gain clearer examples of how high‑frequency data can support their platforms. Martin summarises the ambition in one word: “leverage”, reflecting how Geopost Vision uses Europe’s largest delivery fleet to deliver unmatched coverage and frequency.
