- With his many years of experience in the industry, Bortolan will take on the position of Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer
- Tranchida arrives from Marconi airport and will have the title of Chief Legal, Corporate & Compliance
- The new departments were the result of an internal reorganisation and rationalisation process
BRT's top management team is being strengthened by the entry of two new managers to support the company’s process of transformation initiated by CEO Stefania Pezzetti.
Maurizio Bortolan and Marianna Tranchida, in their respective roles of Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer and Chief Legal, Corporate & Compliance, are the two new members of the management team.
Maurizio Bortolan has many years of experience in the world of logistics, ranging from commercial and operational functions to general management. He has managed contact logistics for national, international and maritime transport both for multinationals (TNT, Ceva, Maersk) and for leading local companies (Number1). He earned a Master in Business Administration from SDA Bocconi and participated in an exchange programme with a specialisation in supply chain management at the Rotterdam School of Management.
In his new function as Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer, he will assume responsibility for the Marketing & Communication and Customer Care departments, and in addition will lead the new Transformational Change function that will be at the heart of the company's transformation.
"I am thrilled to be part of this prestigious, important group, with its strong brand and recognised leadership in the market. I’m particularly excited to play a part in this moment of profound transformation and change. The challenge ahead of us is compelling and stimulating, and will bring us great rewards”,
said Maurizio Bortolan.
Marianna Tranchida's entry in BRT marks the creation of the Legal Corporate & Compliance (LCC) Department, into which the existing Legal and Compliance departments will be merged. The new department will play a central role in the new corporate structure to ensure a business-oriented approach of legal and compliance services in support of company functions.
Marianna Tranchida is a lawyer with a PhD and LLM in European transport and EU law with many years' experience in Transport & Logistics, an international background and strong specialisation in regulated sectors and antitrust.
She has held various professional and advisory roles, most recently as Head of Legal, Institutional and Regulatory Affairs at Aeroporto G. Marconi di Bologna S.p.A.
"I’m happy to start this new adventure, and at the same time aware of the challenge it represents. I hope to contribute to the renewal currently under way, putting my experience at the service of the company to ensure an adequate compliance of organisational and regulatory structures, but above all to bring the quality and innovation of the service to very high standards and to achieve increasingly impressive business goals”,
said Marianna Tranchida.
