• Two of the most noteworthy initiatives in 2022 are the project "Tapones para una nueva vida", with more than 45,000 euros collected, and the "Logística solidaria", with more than 16,000 deliveries carried out in the last year, some of them to Ukraine.
• Fundación SEUR has also delivered 153,000 kg of toys during 2022 through its national campaign "Comparte y Recicla".

Fundación SEUR has released its Annual Report for 2022, highlighting the social commitment of all the actions it has carried out over the last 12 months. Since its birth in 2004, the non-profit organization has become a national benchmark in aid to children and in those initiatives related with the communities where SEUR, the Spanish leader in express delivery, is operating.

In this respect, Fundación SEUR has received in 2022 more than 196,000 euros as a result of the "Logística solidaria" project, the commitment of Fundación SEUR's teams and the whole SEUR network, as well as the financial contributions made to the projects. This amount has been used to keep helping the most vulnerable groups and those who deserve more attention.

Furthermore, during 2022 Fundación SEUR has launched a new website, in order to provide a more intuitive browsing experience and dynamic content showing its activities in a user-friendly way and adapted to any device.

"Tapones para una nueva vida" and "Logística solidaria", the 2022 benchmarks

In 2022, Fundación SEUR's main project, "Tapones para una nueva vida"", has contributed financing the medical and orthopedic treatments of 10 children in Spain and Portugal. This means more than 300 tons of recycled caps. In this respect, with the caps recycling, it has been possible to avoid the emission of more than 384 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, and an economic amount of more than 45,000 Euros has been distributed among the 10 beneficiaries.

As a result of these figures, 197 children in Spain and Portugal have been helped since the initiative was launched in 2011. Throughout these 11 years, a total contribution of 1,360,753 euros has been achieved.

On the other hand, "Logística solidaria" has cooperated in 2022 with 133 entities, providing them with 16,411 free or reduced-cost deliveries. This has meant more than 392 tons mobilized through SEUR's delivery network in Spain.

Besides, Fundación SEUR has extended its "Logística solidaria" to Ukraine during the last year, launching an internal campaign to donate medical supplies required by the Ukrainian authorities due to the war. At the same time, " Logistica Solidaria" has also been shared to other organizations working in the field. In total, more than 52,000 kg of medical aid were delivered.

According to Ramón Mayo, Fundación SEUR's President,

"in a year as complicated as 2022, when we have seen how a cruel war was unleashed, it makes me very proud to know that, from Fundación SEUR, we have contributed to make this planet a better place. Not only with the recycling of caps, which have improved the quality of life of 10 children, but also with the delivery of hope through toys or through training young people. The path for 2023 will remain the same: a firm commitment to those groups most in need".

"Comparte y Recicla" and scholarships for students in need

Fundación SEUR cooperates in other social initiatives such as the "Comparte y Recicla" campaign, the largest toy collection program in Spain. In this respect, more than 153,000 kg of toys have been collected, which have been received by more than 104 entities and more than 34,000 children have been able to enjoy them all over the country.

Likewise, Fundación SEUR launches internal initiatives such as grants for SEUR employees and collaborators in extraordinary situations, either due to serious illnesses, or to promote unique abilities in study, sports or arts. Translated into figures, in 2022, 18 study grants, 6 special scholarships and 12 university scholarships were granted, as well as 2 relief funds, actions adding up to 16,325 euros in total.

The Annual Report also includes a breakdown of figures for other projects. Throughout 2022, 109 volunteer hours were completed by SEUR professionals, as well as 307 in-kind donations of computer hardware and a contribution of 2,273 euros in sponsorship to Fundación Río Safari, an association that helps children and children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders).
