"Danos la lata", TIPSA's solidarity campaign to donate more than 10 tons of non-perishable food to the Food Banks of Spain

The project is supported by FESBAL (Spanish Federation of Food Banks), the involvement of the TIPSA Agency Network and the company's main clients. "Danos la lata" is a solidarity project that consolidates the corporate values and the basis of TIPSA's Corporate Social Responsibility.

 

On September 15 began the solidarity campaign "Danos la lata", an initiative led by TIPSA in collaboration with FESBAL, Spanish Federation of Food Banks, with the aim of collecting more than 10,000 kilos of non-perishable canned food to be donated to the main Food Banks in Spain.

This project, which will last approximately one month, is possible thanks to the involvement of the entire TIPSA Agency Network, which has requested the help of its main clients for the collection of food. In this way, each client will have a container in their facilities that will be filled with cans of non-perishable food donated by their employees. Subsequently, each TIPSA Agency will be responsible for collecting and depositing the goods in the Food Bank of their locality.

The importance of this campaign lies in two main pillars, the first one is the difficult situation that the Food Banks of our country are going through, since donations have been reduced by up to 50%. And a second pillar that supports the need for non-perishable food to avoid the seasonality of donated products.

TIPSA also has other annual solidarity projects such as the recognized Solidarity Envelopes. Last year, TIPSA managed to donate more than 40,000€ to non-profit associations such as Menudos Corazones, Mensajeros de la Paz, Diabetes Cero, Fundación Prodis or the NGO SILO.
