DPD Portugal wins two awards: Consumer Choice and Prémio 5 Estrelas

DPD Portugal is highlighted by the Portuguese as the number 1 “Consumer's Choice” brand in parcel delivery, while Pickup network is once again the winner of the Five Star Award for the eighth consecutive year.


DPD Portugal, the leading company in the domestic express transport market, has just been distinguished with two awards: the Consumer Choice Award and the Five Star Award.

For the first time, DPD Portugal was selected by ConsumerChoice, the company responsible for the Consumer Choice evaluation system, as the number 1 brand among the Portuguese in the “Parcel Delivery” category, having obtained an overall rating of 85.80%, the highest among seven companies.

The attributes most mentioned by those surveyed in this evaluation, the emphasis is on meeting delivery deadlines and the possibility of rescheduling deliveries, in which DPD obtained a score of 93.1%. Behind these are extended delivery times, payment security, and knowing the delivery time window, all with an 89.7% rating, but also prior notice of delivery time or real-time tracking (both with 86.2%). These ratings reflect the role of DPD's Predict solution and live tracking in the customer's order management process.

Regarding the Five Star Award, the brand's Pickup network now has its eighth consecutive year of recognition in the category "Delivery of Parcels in Nearby Stores", a clear proof, according to Olivier Establet,

"of the convenience and proximity that this delivery option brings consumers and retailers themselves, not to mention the sustainable component that choosing to pick up an order at a Pickup point has, since we reduce the trips that our Drivers have to make on a daily basis”.

Currently, DPD Portugal has a network of more than 1000 Pickup stores spread across the country, reaching at least 95% of the Portuguese population within a distance of less than 15 minutes from one of these points. The goal for the future will be to expand the network to more locations. With regard to lockers (intelligent lockers), the brand already has around 200 pieces of equipment installed in Auchan, FNAC and Leroy Merlin stores, Sonae Sierra and Klepierre shopping centers and in Repsol service stations.
