Geopost as proud partner at The Economist's 9th annual Sustainability Week

The 9th Economist Sustainability Week event (London, March 4-6, 2024) will focus this year on “Sustaining planet and profit”, delivering valuable insight to all participants by sharing innovative initiatives which effectively contribute to reduce emissions and improve environmental impact.  This event brings together more than 1,200 attendees from global leaders’ companies, innovators, and sustainability’s experts from all around the world.

On 4th March, our Sustainability Director Dominique Mamcarz and Olly Craughan, Head of Sustainability at DPD UK, will host a sustainability-themed roundtable. We are pleased to welcome guests from companies across the board to share insight on ways to keep up the momentum on sustainability in an economic downturn.

On 6th March at 12:30pm GMT, our EVP and CFO Stéphanie Berlioz, will dive into the topic of environmental accounting via a panel discussion entitled “Rigorous environmental accounting for net-zero accountability”.

Together with other speakers, they will discuss how carbon becomes a concern for CFOs, given new reporting demands, tax implications, and risks that directly influence a company’s financial health. As CFOs meticulously trace product costs from origin to consumer, the question arises: can carbon accounting mirror this approach, and how might it reshape sustainability discussions in boardrooms?

DPD UK teams will also be attending and showcasing their commitment to sustainability through a dedicated booth (Stand 26), where they will unveil their plan of action to achieve net zero emissions by 2040.
