The eighth edition of TIPSA's Solidarity Envelopes ends with a donation of nearly €40,000 to seven NGOs

During the Christmas campaign, TIPSA has distributed 1,000,000 solidarity envelopes, which results in more than 40,000€ donated to different solidarity projects with which it collaborates.

The leading express transport company in the sector and member of the international Geopost group, TIPSA, has concluded the eighth edition of its well-known Solidarity Envelopes campaign with the distribution of 1 million envelopes and the donation of almost €40,000 to various solidarity projects of the NGOs KUMPU (formerly SILO), FEMM (Multiple Sclerosis Foundation Madrid), DiabetesCero Foundation, PRODIS Foundation, Mensajeros de la Paz Foundation, Menudos Corazones Foundation and Confianza Solidaria Madrid.

As every year, the children of the TIPSA Family have illustrated the Solidarity Envelopes. The concept of this edition was based on the Danos la lata Campaign, an initiative led by TIPSA in collaboration with the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL) with the involvement of TIPSA Network Agencies and its main customers, with the aim of collecting non-perishable canned food.

The conclusion of the eighth edition of the Solidarity Envelope Campaign, which began last October, took place at TIPSA's Central HUB, and consisted of the delivery of approximately 2,300 kilos of basic necessities and non-perishable food products to the NGO Confianza Solidaria Madrid.

The event was attended by TIPSA's CEO, Marisa Camacho, and the representative of Confianza Solidaria Madrid, Abraham of Confianza Solidaria Madrid, Abraham Lozada, who highlighted the "great help" that the transport company's donation represents for more than 150 needy families in Torrejón de Ardoz and neighboring municipalities.

As for the rest of the donations made to the NGOs collaborating with the Solidarity Envelopes, the DiabetecesCero Foundation will finance quality biomedical research projects at an international level focused on ending type 1 diabetes, a serious, chronic, autoimmune disease that affects more than 200,000 people in Spain, most of them children under 15 years of age.

In addition, FEMM (Fundación Esclerosis Múltiple Madrid) will include it in the program 'Rehabilitation and comprehensive social and health care in multiple sclerosis'. This initiative covers all the specialized neurorehabilitation and socio-health care services of the organization. Thanks to this economic contribution, they will be able to provide support to affected people and their families, promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing, as well as their social and labor integration. The one received by KUMPU, to restore a kindergarten in sanitary and safe conditions that has been completely demolished in the town of Xime (Guinea Bissau). The kindergarten was built by the parents with their own hands and they even pay the teachers' salaries themselves. With the rains of last summer, the building was completely unusable and the children were unable to go to the kindergarten.

The Fundación Menudos Corazones will use it for its comprehensive support program for children with congenital heart disease and their families, which attends to their needs from the moment of diagnosis of this chronic pathology, such as psychological care, accompaniment in hospitals and free accommodation when they have to travel for an operation, among other programs.

Finally, Mensajeros de la Paz will use it to purchase food for its Solidarity Bank in Ribera de Curtidores, where 109 families in a situation of serious vulnerability, most of them with minors in their care, are assisted. And PRODIS will provide scholarships to users of its summer camp.
